Hi, I’m Meg. My journey as a doula is deeply rooted in my personal experiences. As the sole caregiver for my dad, I understand the weight of responsibility and the importance of having a supportive presence during challenging times. I also have firsthand experience with loss, which has shaped my empathetic approach to doula work.

Recently, I discovered a love for supporting children through medical procedures as a doula, bringing comfort and reassurance to families during these intense moments.

In addition to my doula work, I enjoy cooking and baking, which has become a way for me to create delicious and healthy meals for families during pregnancy and postpartum. I believe that nourishing food is key to a strong recovery and a great way to support new parents.

Laura’s journey to becoming a birth doula began quite literally while giving birth to her second daughter. The support she received from her own doula was life-changing, empowering her in ways she had never experienced. Inspired by this, Laura knew she wanted to pass on the same gifts of support and empowerment to other women.

With over six years of experience as a Birth Doula, Laura has supported dozens of births in hospitals, homes, and birth centres. She collaborates closely with midwives, OBs, and family physicians, understanding that each labour and birth experience is unique. Laura’s highest priority is ensuring that you feel heard, supported, held, and empowered during this vulnerable time.

Laura is experienced in a wide range of birth scenarios, including vaginal birth, Caesarean birth, VBAC, breech birth, hypnobirth, and water births. She is also trained in trauma-informed care and supports families through pregnancy and infant loss. Laura believes in helping families advocate for their wishes and rights during pregnancy and birth, fostering confidence as they navigate the transition into parenthood.

Meet Dayle, a proud mother of two daughters. As a full spectrum Indigenous doula and childbirth educator, she is passionately committed to reviving the traditions and ceremonies that surround pregnancy, birth, postpartum, parenthood, and family. Her journey began with the birth of her daughter, a profound experience that sparked her desire to reconnect with the inherent and ancestral ways of knowing as an Anishinaabe person. Realizing the need for more comprehensive support and education within her community, she felt called to be a voice and a safe space, dedicated to restoring the sacredness and heart-work of birth work.

Dayle is devoted to building and deepening connections within the community, rekindling traditional practices and ceremonies around birth, and advocating for all Indigenous peoples, including the 2Spirit community. Through her efforts, she strives to revive the sacred connections and support systems that are essential during the perinatal period, ensuring that every family feels seen, heard, and supported. With a background as a paramedic and wildfire firefighter, Weronika brings a level-headed presence to stressful moments. Her experience as an outdoor guide, combined with her current studies in herbal medicine, allows her to connect clients to the natural world. With 8 years of experience in childcare, including 2 years at a daycare on a military base, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. Having a partner in the military has given Kaylie a unique understanding of the military lifestyle, and families that also have similar lifestyles. This experience enables her to support families in this community with empathy and insight.

As a proud mom to her 2-year-old son, Kaylie is passionate about continuing her education and aims to become a lactation consultant, further enhancing her doula work. A true social butterfly, she enjoys exploring local markets, supporting vendors, and spending quality time with her family.

As a Registered Nurse, yoga teacher, Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doula and mother of 11—with four earthside babies and seven angel babies—she understands the profound complexities of joy and grief in pregnancy and childbirth.

Her journey, marked by both profound loss and immense love, inspired her to write "A Diary to my Babies," a heartfelt and raw account of her experiences. This deeply personal work sheds light on the emotional landscape of losing a child and has touched many lives.

A solo mom and lover of all things true crime, her passion for supporting others has been a driving force since childhood. From a young age, Sondra knew that she not only wanted to be a parent but also to help others through their own journey of "becoming"—whether that’s becoming parents, healing from trauma, or navigating their unique transitions in life.

Sondra is committed to providing compassionate, grounded support throughout the pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey. She believes in helping clients find the resources and tools they need to feel empowered and connected. Whether through moments of joy or challenges, Sondra will be there, holding space and cheering you on every step of the way.

Lisette is a dedicated postpartum doula, a mother of two, and a passionate perinatal mental health advocate. Her own experiences as a mother of two—one marked by loneliness and Postpartum Mood Disorder, the other supported by a strong community—drive her dedication to supporting families in their early days with a newborn.

Her first postpartum journey was challenging, marked by uncertainty and loneliness, leading to Postpartum Mood Disorder. Having prepared for pregnancy and birth but not the early days with her newborn, she found herself overwhelmed. For her second postpartum experience, Lisette made it a priority to build her own village of support, which made a world of difference and led to a fulfilling postpartum period.

Now, as a postpartum doula, she brings her knowledge, empathy, and experience to help families navigate the early stages of parenthood. When not supporting families as a doula, Lisette is co-founder of Together: For Perinatal Mental Health, an organization focused on raising awareness and providing resources for perinatal mental health in the Waterloo Region.

Gail brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare and patient support to her role as a birth and postpartum doula. Her extensive background has equipped her with a deep understanding of the care and compassion needed during life’s most transformative moments.

Gail is dedicated to providing emotional, physical, and advocacy support for pregnant and new parents. Her mission is to empower families throughout their birth and postpartum journeys, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and confident every step of the way.

Sarah is a dedicated birth and postpartum doula and a mother of two who fell in love with birth after welcoming her first daughter. With a background as a social service worker, she supports foster children and has also worked closely with teens and adults with special needs during their pregnancies. Sarah has always been drawn to helping others through life’s most challenging transitions.

Her own experiences with a sick baby, latching issues, low milk supply, prenatal depression, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and a retained placenta have deepened her empathy and understanding. Sarah is passionate about providing compassionate care and supporting families as they navigate their unique pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. She is committed to helping families feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout their experience.

Emily is passionate about birth and dedicated to supporting families through parenthood and postpartum. Her doula style is comfortable, informative, and focused on fostering deep connections.

With experience in child and elderly palliative care, Emily brings empathy, calm, and a “glass half full” attitude to every situation. Known for staying cool under pressure, Emily is mature beyond her years, offering attentive and compassionate care. In her downtime, she enjoys baking and drawing, hobbies that reflect her nurturing and creative side.

Emma has always felt a deep pull toward family care, originally dreaming of becoming a kindergarten teacher, then an OBGYN, and later a midwife—especially after being inspired by Call the Midwife. Alongside her passion for birth work, Emma has always had a love for art and creativity. In high school, she interned at an art gallery and worked there for three years, fully immersing herself in her artistic side. However, her dream of supporting families never left her.

In May, Emma left her art gallery career to follow her heart and focus on becoming a doula. She’s now fully dedicated to her training, working to be the best birth bestie she can be for families. She is honoured to be part of such an important and transformative time in people’s lives and feels privileged to provide support, care, and encouragement during the birthing journey.

Thalia is an Indigenous Miskito and Mayan doula, deeply rooted in a rich lineage of parteras (midwives). A retired paramedic, Thalia brings a unique blend of medical expertise and ancestral wisdom to her doula practice. Her deep connection to her heritage and the birthing traditions passed down through generations guide her compassionate and intuitive approach to supporting families.

As an aunt to 15 nieces and nephews, Thalia's experience with family runs deep, and she treasures the opportunity to extend that nurturing care to others on their birthing journeys. Her holistic approach is grounded in both modern knowledge and the traditional practices of her ancestors.

Holly is am current doula student with a special focus on supporting families through loss. Known for her kindness and compassion, Holly has spent many years engaging with children and families, developing a deep understanding of their unique needs. Her passion for the birthing process has been lifelong, and she is dedicated to advocating passionately for anyone who needs support throughout their journey.
