  • Chrystal - Indigenous Birthwork & Deathworker

    Chrystal is an Anishinaabekwe-euromix matriarch, storyteller, and social service worker whose work in restorative healing justice is reshaping community care. A certified Sexual Educator with the American Board of Sexology, Chrystal is deeply committed to revitalizing traditional knowledge and strengthening support networks through her work as an educator, and mentor.

    As co-founder of Aunties on the Road Doula Collective and the Indigenous Death Doula Collective, Chrystal has trained over 1,300 Indigenous Birthworkers and Deathworkers through Blackbird Medicines. She continues to develop culturally rooted training programs that empower helpers to step into their roles with confidence and connection.

    Beyond her work in training and mentoring, Chrystal offers sexual health education and perimenopause support, ensuring that individuals have access to the knowledge and care they need throughout every stage of life.

    With deep wisdom, experience, and an unwavering dedication to community healing, Chrystal’s work is a testament to the power of traditional knowledge, advocacy, and holistic care.
