I'm a proud mom of three, a devoted wife, an Indigenous woman, and a loving Auntie. As a full-spectrum doula, I’m honored to support families through life’s most significant transitions, including pregnancy, birth, postpartum, abortion, loss, trauma and grief, end of life, and death and dying.

As an active member of Six Nations, Ewehawas has cultivated strong community ties that enhance her support for families. As a Registered Nurse, yoga teacher, Infant & Pregnancy Loss Doula and mother of 11—with four earthside babies and seven angel babies—she understands the profound complexities of joy and grief in pregnancy and childbirth.

Her journey, marked by both profound loss and immense love, inspired her to write "A Diary to my Babies," a heartfelt and raw account of her experiences. This deeply personal work sheds light on the emotional landscape of losing a child and has touched many lives.

Today, Carmen dedicates herself to supporting families through the challenging and often overwhelming terrain of pregnancy, birth, and loss. Her empathetic approach helps families navigate their unique journeys, providing a safe space for healing and growth. Meet Semya, an Indigenous woman from the Oneida Nation of the Thames, is a passionate student doula at Fanshawe College. She is committed to supporting all families, with a special focus on Indigenous families, helping to incorporate traditional practices into their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys.

Meet Patti Compassionate End-of-Life and Death Doula and Registered Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families through grief, trauma, and life transitions. She is dedicated to helping people navigate loss, end-of-life journeys, and personal healing with empathy and understanding.

With a client-centered and collaborative approach, Patti tailors her support to each individual’s needs, creating a safe and nurturing space for exploration, healing, and growth. Her expertise includes grief and bereavement, traumatic loss, end-of-life care, and mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and chronic stress. With a background as a paramedic and wildfire firefighter, Weronika brings a level-headed presence to stressful moments. Her experience as an outdoor guide, combined with her current studies in herbal medicine, allows her to connect clients to the natural world. Meet Lisette, a dedicated postpartum doula, a mother of two, and a passionate perinatal mental health advocate. Her own experiences as a mother of two—one marked by loneliness and Postpartum Mood Disorder, the other supported by a strong community—drive her dedication to supporting families in their early days with a newborn.

Her first postpartum journey was challenging, marked by uncertainty and loneliness, leading to Postpartum Mood Disorder. Having prepared for pregnancy and birth but not the early days with her newborn, she found herself overwhelmed. For her second postpartum experience, Lisette made it a priority to build her own village of support, which made a world of difference and led to a fulfilling postpartum period.

Now, as a postpartum doula, she brings her knowledge, empathy, and experience to help families navigate the early stages of parenthood. When not supporting families as a doula, Lisette is co-founder of Together: For Perinatal Mental Health, an organization focused on raising awareness and providing resources for perinatal mental health in the Waterloo Region.

Meet Emma, a devoted and creative doula whose passion for supporting families has been lifelong. Inspired by her dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher, an OBGYN, and later a midwife (thanks to Call the Midwife!), Emma always felt a strong pull toward family care and birth work.

Alongside her love for birth support, Emma has a deep appreciation for art and creativity. She spent three years working at an art gallery, fully immersing herself in the art world. But even then, her dream of caring for families never left her heart.

In May, Emma made the exciting decision to leave her art gallery career and focus fully on becoming a doula. Now, she’s dedicated to her training and committed to being the best “birth bestie” she can be. Thalia is an Indigenous Miskito and Mayan doula, deeply rooted in a rich lineage of parteras (midwives).
